We catch you up on the Michigan football team in Arizona, recruiting, and more Michigan Wolverines news in our latest roundup.

The Fiesta Bowl is getting closer and closer. We are now just three days away from Michigan football and its matchup against TCU.

On the line is a berth to the national championship game. A win would also end a five-game losing streak in bowl games for Michigan football under head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The Michigan Wolverines hit the practice field for the first time in Arizona on Tuesday and the first portion was open to the media, which led to some interesting updates.

Maybe the most important was that Donovan Edwards is wearing a smaller cast and looks close to 100 percent. The same can be said about Mike Morris who practiced without limitation.

We also broke down this matchup and offered three keys for Michigan football to beat TCU on Saturday, as well as three reasons why you should expect a W from the Wolverines. Another angle is whether or not TCU is underestimating Michigan football.

Michigan Football recruiting updates

There wasn’t any huge news on Tuesday for Michigan football recruiting but a slew of 2024 targets announced that the Wolverines were among their top five including Boo Carter, a four-star safety out of Tennessee.

Jacob Oden, a key in-state recruit in 2024 for Michigan football, who is also a defensive back, also included the Wolverines in his top five. As did Jeremiah Beasley, a 4-star linebacker.

Michigan football also picked up a commitment from a preferred walk-on in the 2023 recruiting class, Liam Groulx. He’s a 6-foot, 210-pound athlete out of Providence Day — the same school where Jadyn Davis, Michigan’s five-star QB target in 2024 attends.

In the last bit of recruiting news, Chad Simmons of On3 reported that Nyckoles Harbor, a five-star target in the 2023 class, could be making a decision soon. He will sign in February during the late-signing period.

Michigan Wolverines women’s basketball plays at Nebraska

The Big Ten basketball season gets going again tonight for the Michigan women’s basketball team which has an important game against Nebraska (7 PM EST, Big Ten Network).

Both teams are coming off big wins. Michigan defeated North Carolina in the Jumpman Invitational last week, while Nebraska beat Kansas in triple overtime.

Jaz Shelley is a name to watch for the Huskers. She’s one of the top scorers in the Big Ten. Michigan boasts Emily Kiser, Laila Phelia, and Leigha Brown who was spectacular in the upset of sixth-ranked North Carolina last week.
