JJ McCarthy is peaking at the right time

JJ McCarthy has polarized the Michigan football fanbase all season.

After starting the year out en fuego, he went through a several-week rough patch where performances were up and down and frankly looked like he regressed from the early-season superstar.

Somehow, someway, he found himself in the second half against Illinois in week 12 and then delivered in a big way against Ohio State when the offense absolutely needed him to carry the water jug.

The game against Purdue was a culmination of the success he had against those two aforementioned opponents and should prove to be the springboard he needs to dominate in this game.

McCarthy has all the talent in the world and he’s finally peaking at the right time. That’s bad news for a TCU team that’s standing between him and a Wolverine team that’s starving for a chance at a national championship.
