The secondary shouldn’t be a concern

I’m a little worried about the pass rush, although I’m confident in the depth and talent on the roster, replacing Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo won’t be easy.

Michigan football isn’t going to have two double-digit sack masters in 2022. Yet, the interior group is going to be better and there will be more contributors this season.

However, another group that lost some key contributors was the secondary. Daxton Hill was a first-round pick while Brad Hawkins and Vincent Gray were also huge contributors last season.

But the cornerbacks are looking really good with the addition of five-star Will Johnson and also Mike Sainristil. He was spectacular during the spring game and it sounds like he’s going to have a huge role playing mostly nickel corner. Chris Balas of The Wolverine has notes on this too.

Keon Sabb is another name to watch at safety, yet R.J. Moten and Rod Moore are both proven contributors. Zeke Berry and Damani Dent are extremely talented too and there’s also an embarrassment of riches in the back end of the defense, just like at wide receiver.
