Moussa Diabate – Los Angeles Clippers

Moussa had to be one of the biggest winners of Summer League out of all the former Wolverines. Moussa definitely flashed his major upside on multiple occasions, and what made him a five-star recruit coming out of France.

It seemed like his focus on the defensive end was more noticeable (although he still did get whistled a lot for fouling), as he was more active in communication, and he showcased his raw, but talented offensive arsenal.

His rebounding also looked noticeably improved as well.

He was definitely one of the Clipper’s best players throughout their Summer League, and that has to make the Clippers organization very excited. He only played in two NBA Summer League games, but it’s not every day you get a rim-running, rim-protecting, huge wingspan player with high offensive upside at pick 43 in the second round.

DeVante Jones – Denver Nuggets

To be honest, I’m not really sure what happened to DeVante Jones. I really don’t know. He was the only Michigan player I didn’t see compete in Summer League besides Eli Brooks.

I don’t know if he got injured prior to summer league, or there was roster confusion and he didn’t sign his summer league contract or maybe he just didn’t want to participate or he had a family emergency. I have literally no clue.

I don’t really want to speculate either. All I know is his name isn’t listed on the roster or in the box scores on various websites like ESPN, and NBA.com, so who knows. I hope all is well though, and we hear from him soon.
