4-star EDGE Enow Etta

Enow Etta is one of the top targets on the board for Michigan football right now and getting him to commit would be huge for the Wolverines.

Etta was on campus when Aidan Hutchinson and David Ojabo were there to receive their Big Ten championship rings and he got to spend time with each. Michigan started trending with expert picks after his official visit and despite talk of an official visit to Stanford or Alabama, that wound up being Etta’s final visit.

Ranked 124th overall in the 247 sports composite rankings for 2023, the 6-foot-4, 260-pound EDGE has six crystal ball projections for Michigan but only with a confidence level of three (1-10 scale). The On3 prediction machine also has U-M listed as the heavy favorite (96 percent chance).

Seeing as he wanted to visit Stanford, Etta, who is out of Colleyville, Texas, values academics and Michigan football has a track record of sending EDGE rushers to the NFL.

But Michigan State is making a late push and the Spartans are willing to do things on the NIL front that Michigan hasn’t up to this point, even though numerous Wolverines are raking in money in endorsements, such as J.J. McCarthy. Hutchinson did as well.

NIL is always a concern though and losing Etta to the Spartans would be a killer. He’s expected to decide this month and as of yet, no expert has projected anything but a U-M commitment.
