6 potential commitments for Michigan Football in July
Michigan football got July off to a strong start thanks to a pair of commitments on Friday and here’s a look at six others who could pledge this month.
The month of June was disappointing for Michigan football on the recruiting trail, as the Wolverines landed just one verbal commitment.
However, things have started to pick up and June was important in terms of laying the groundwork for July as the Wolverines need to start picking up commitments.
Michigan football added three-star wideout Fredrick Moore on Friday, a top-500 prospect from St. Louis, Missouri, and followed that up with the commitment of four-star linebacker Semaj Bridgeman out of Philadelphia.
U-M has eight commitments now and a slew of top targets set to make announcements in July. So without further ado, here are six potential commitments for Michigan football this month.
4-star OL Amir Herring
Things were a little back-and-forth at one time with Amir Herring but the four-star offensive lineman from the state of Michigan is set to announce this week and all indications are that he will commit to the in-state school.
Ron Bellamy was formerly his high school coach and it just seemed like Michigan needed to make him a bigger priority. Nebraska was a threat at one time, but the Wolverines were always the top option and that’s where I expect Herring, who is No. 274 overall, to land.
He’s 6-foot-3, 290 pounds, and is a consensus four-star prospect who is projected to play on the interior. The Wolverines have all of the crystal ball projections and are the heavy favorite to win his commitment via the On3 prediction machine (71.7 percent, Nebraska 28).
