Finding ideal fits for Michigan Football players in 2022 NFL draft
By Kyler Kregel
DT Chris Hinton – Miami Dolphins (5.156)
Hinton was a bit of a surprise NFL declaration this season, as most public big boards did not really have in the range of the first two days of the draft, which is traditionally the range you would expect someone to be in before declaring. However, Hinton will still have an opportunity to find a solid landing spot and get his NFL career underway. A backup and rotational role with the Miami Dolphins would make a lot of sense, as they do have some solid starters in Raekwon Davis and Christian Wilkins, but definitely need some depth behind them.
Other fits: Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers
ILB Josh Ross – Tennessee Titans (6.204)
The Titans are set to see a couple of linebackers hit free agency this year, notably, starting linebackers like Jayon Brown and Rashaan Evans, along with some backups there as well in Nick Dzubnar and Olasunkanmi Adeniyi. With a hefty amount of turnover potentially coming, Ross as a late-round selection could give the Titans some much-needed depth at the position. He fits Vrabel’s 3-4 defense quite well as an inside linebacker who specializes in stopping the run.
Other fits: New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles
