Dickinson dominates again

There are plenty of reasons for Michigan’s improved play over the last week: better defense, better shooting, but the biggest reason is Hunter Dickinson.

Ever since the North Carolina game, Dickinson has been playing like an All-American and if the Wolverines had started better, he would probably be leading the race for Big Ten Player of the Year. His offensive efficiency is off the charts right now and he’s the key to a win tonight.

Northwestern is surely going to double team but it hasn’t really mattered for Dickinson.  If the perimeter guys can hit a few shots and keep the spacing, then the Wildcats will really be in trouble.

And as Dickinson showed on Sunday, he can do a lot more than score in the post. He is making pick and pops and made three 3-pointers on Sunday, as well as a step-back jumper.

When Hunter is shooting the ball like that, no one in the country can guard him. He’s also pretty good with predictions. He said Michigan football would beat Ohio State and we laughed but he was right.

So when he said Mchigan was going to go on a run last week, we should have listened. Now we are and he puts forth another stellar effort Wednesday night.
