2. Caleb Houstan needs to have another elite performance

Against Maryland, Houstan had a career performance scoring 16 points going 6-for-7 from the field, more specifically an electric 3-for-4 from deep. When Caleb was first introduced to Michigan fans, he was promised to be an elite scorer, which is far from what we’ve gotten this season.

Caleb’s early struggles could be attributed to growing pains which is totally believable, players also get cold at times which is also believable, but he proved that broke the slump he could have been in, so we’re narrowing down reasons for his poor performance early this season.

He has to have a good game against the Hooisers and get back on track starting now in hopes to get back into a lottery position in the NBA Draft. Caleb is averaging roughly 10, 5, and 1 this season even with his poor performances. He could be averaging double that if he starts picking it up and playing like the player we expected.

We’ll just have to see how he does with the Hoosiers defense which is fantastic. On the flip side, defensively he needs to step up because at times he seems lost and not confident in himself. I think this could be a major stepping stone game for Caleb, he just has to take advantage.
