USC LB Raymond Scott

Scott was a four-star recruit in the class of 2018 out of Narbonne High School in Los Angeles. Michigan offered him as a recruit, but he was already to committed to USC and would have been a tough flip anyway. Scott bulked up to 235 pounds and now stands at 6-foot-2.

Scott has played in 15 career games and has recorded 36 tackles, two for loss, and one sack. This past season, he set career highs in games played (12) and tackles (27). He emerged as one of USC’s best defensive players down the stretch. Scott is versatile and played inside linebacker, nickel safety, and outside linebacker while USC.

We saw Michigan’s linebackers struggle in coverage at times this season. Scott’s versatility could be appealing to the Wolverines and he could play a role as a coverage linebacker.

TCU EDGE Chris Murray

Murray has four years of eligibility and has intriguing traits. He is 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds and can run. Murray was a high three-star recruit (89 grade by 247Sports) out of high school in the 2020 class. He has a relentless motor and flashed the ability to set the edge in the running game on his high school tape.

Michigan football missed a few EDGE targets in the 2022 class and is still trying to hold on to Kevonte Henry. Murray is a young player with the upside to improve and I think he would be a productive player in Mike MacDonald’s scheme.
