Derrick Moore — Three expert picks for Michigan football

One target that has come up in recent weeks for Michigan football is four-star defensive end, Derrick Moore. He was a top target early for the Wolverines in the 2022 recruiting cycle but he wound up going to Oklahoma.

But then after Lincoln Riley went to USC, Moore was quickly back on the market, and the St. Frances Academy standout sees a familiar face on the coaching staff in Biff Poggi.

Now, there are rules against recruiting players at a school where a coach was just hired. But EJ Holland (lead U-M recruiting expert for On3) and Steve Wiltfong for 247 sports both have predictions in for the Wolverines.

Moore was in Ann Arbor this past weekend for his visit and everything seems to be going in Michigan’s direction. The Wolverines just need to make sure they can actually sign Moore but as long as it’s all good on that front, the 6-foot-4, 250-pound defensive lineman/defensive end who is currently ranked 79th overall in the 247 sports composite rankings, seems headed to Ann Arbor.
