2. Cade McNamara – 21/28, 259 Yards, 2TD’s

You know I almost did not include this, because this is so regular for him. McNamara has to be one of the most if not the most efficient Michigan QB in a very long time.

While he’s not flashy and does not have any crazy arm strength or rushing ability, he has the fundamentals down and can read defenses similarly to the goat Tom Brady.

McNamara has showcased terrific poise in the pocket both at home and on the road. Going into Nebraska and Penn State, two of the toughest places to play at and driving responding to adversity the way he does goes underappreciated and seemingly unnoticed.

Cade is that guy whether you like it or not. Sure, McCarthy may have more raw talent than Cade but the slander that Cade has gotten is just downright ridiculous. Cade’s starting because he’s the right QB for this offense, he’s low tempered, he’s calm, and a leader.

Those are all qualities I’d want my starting QB to have. That’s not to say that JJ does not possess any of that, he’s genuinely a great person and enthusiastic about the program and his goals which I absolutely love to see.

Moving forward against Ohio State, I seriously think he provides us the best chance to win. Cade has to be making perfect throws and the right reeds all game if he wants to go down in the history books of the Michigan tradition.
