What’s next?

Dent is Michigan football’s 18th commitment in the 2022 class and the Wolverines are currently ranked 16th according to the 247 sports composite rankings.

The Wolverines should have about seven spots left in the class, although there have been some rumors about Tay’Shawn Trent not being part of the class in the end.

And who knows if every spot will be filled? There are still lots of irons in the fire and Michigan is pushing for guys like Josh Conerly Jr., Amorion Walker, Domani Jackson, Deone Walker, Walter Nolen, Lander Barton, and others including the new 2022 offer to Jimmy Rolder.

It’s hard to say who the next commitment would be. My guess would be Amorion Walker since he’s already had numerous crystal balls come in projecting him to flip from Notre Dame.

The Wolverines have also been trending with Conerly Jr. and they are in a strong position to flip Jackson from USC, but that doesn’t seem imminent. There’s still work to do.

But with a number of pledges in the last month and now filling the need at safety, Jim Harbaugh and company have been doing a solid job on the trail, despite a lack of four-star commitments.
