Tight End

Nick Eubanks has moved on to the pros leaving behind a small amount of tight ends on the roster. Erick All is the primary beneficiary with having the most experience of the bunch remaining. He’s had an underwhelming career up to this point and that should spark some concerns for the fact that he is expected to be the starter come September.

All has collected a total of 13 grabs in two years, which really isn’t saying much. His drops have been much more frustrating than anything else.

Offensive coordinator Josh Gattis says All is a better performer in practice, but that it just doesn’t translate to Saturdays. Getting All to flip the switch to when it really counts will be the key in whether or not he can be the next great in the long list of tight ends at Michigan.

Behind him is sparely used Luke Schoonmaker, who may be thrown into the fire more with the shortage of depth. Matthew Hibner didn’t see the field in 2020, but he seems to be the x-factor in all of this. Then there’s freshman Louis Hansen who was a pretty well-regarded recruit coming in from Massachusetts.
