Who wins?

Obviously, Michigan has the Big Ten championship all locked up right now, but for one, the Wolverines don’t want to lose two out of their last three regular-season games, and secondly, winning a game like this is what championship teams do.

On paper and after watching the game Thursday, there really is no way the Spartans should beat Michigan. MSU has no one who can guard Hunter Dickinson and they don’t have anybody as good as Franz Wagner.

Frankly, Dickinson, Livers or Wagner would each be the Spartans’ best player if they were on the other side. U-M also has a big edge at point guard right now.

However, we’ve all seen way too many college basketball games and games coached by Tom Izzo to take too much stock into the matchups on paper.

This is going to be a battle and Michigan State isn’t going down without a fight. I expect more of their shots to fall and actually think they cover the spread.

But in the end, Michigan wins it and heads into the postseason with momentum.
