Michigan Basketball: How to watch, storylines vs Indiana
Michigan basketball has a quick turnaround Saturday against Indiana and here’s how to watch as well as key storylines vs the Hoosiers.
For the first time this season, Michigan basketball will play two games in three days as the Wolverines will head to Indiana on Saturday for their third game this week.
Michigan is fresh off an impressive win over Iowa on Thursday night, which is the third win over a ranked team in the last four games for the Wolverines.
Since sitting out for three weeks due to a pause in the athletics department at the University of Michigan, the Wolverines have been playing better than ever.
There was some worry about rust, but we haven’t seen it, outside of the first half against Wisconsin, a game Michigan came back to win by eight.
Since beating the Badgers, the Wolverines have defeated Rutgers and Iowa at home, as well as a win in the middle at Ohio State, which was the No. 4 team at the time.

While the wins over Ohio State and Iowa really grabbed national attention, they also helped Michigan take a huge step towards winning the Big Ten championship.
If the Wolverines beat Indiana on Saturday in Bloomington, they would need just one more win or two losses by Illinois to wrap it up.
Of course, with the game sandwiched between showdowns with Iowa and Illinois on Tuesday, it could be a trap game for Michigan as it gets ready for a 12-11 Indiana team that’s been up and down all year long.
On paper, Indiana doesn’t match-up well with the Wolverines. Indiana takes a lot of its shots inside and does a great job of getting to the free throw line.
However, Michigan is a team that doesn’t foul very often, a lesson Ohio State learned last Sunday. So relying on a lot of free throws to beat Michigan isn’t a great idea. For other keys to victory, we have a full breakdown here.
