Running back: Hassan Haskins, Donovan Edwards, Blake Corum and others

Hassan Haskins was by far the best running back on the team last season. He averaged 6.1 yards per attempt and scored six touchdowns.

Donovan Edwards, who earned the title of Mr. Football in the state of Michigan and is also a five-star recruit according to 247 sports, will get playing time right away. He’s simply too good not to incorporate into the offense immediately.

He’s the home-run threat that Haskins just isn’t. Watching the two of them, plus Blake Corum who should also really excel under the tutelage of Mike Hart, as all the running backs will, should be a lot of fun.

But Corum and Edwards both excel as receivers in addition to being good runners, so that will add another dimension to the offense. I also wouldn’t count out freshman Tavierre Dunlap. He reminds me a lot of Haskins and the biggest thing keeping him on the bench is just the talent ahead of him.

Yet, I believe Dunlap is one of the real sleepers in this recruiting class and heading into next season, the running back position may have more talent than any other spot on the roster.
