Season Stats: 7 receptions, 72 yards, 3 TD

The 6′ 5″ Junior from Madison, WI, led the team in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in their lone game of the season. It’s safe to say that Ferguson is his quarterback’s favorite target, with the caveat that it was only one game.

Three games into the season, the Wolverines have given up two touchdowns to tight ends so far and they have not yet faced a player of Ferguson’s talent. It will be interesting to see who Michigan tasks with covering the 250 pounder as he goes down the seam and over the middle on Saturday.

Because Wisconsin will have roughly three weeks between games played, I expect for their game plan to consist of quick and easy passes to not only get the offense in a rhythm, but also to combat Michigan’s pass rush. If Wisconsin can learn anything from Michigan State and Indiana, it is that three step drops followed by deep shots downfield have been the Wolverines’ kryptonite to this point.

Now to look at one of the top Wisconsin defenders to watch against Michigan football, here’s the final player on the list.
