Offense: D

There were some decent moments by the offense against Indiana on Saturday and Ronnie Bell played as well as anyone catching six passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. That was the kind of performance Michigan has needed, but it still didn’t matter.

The biggest issue for the offense is the inability to run the ball. Just like against Michigan State, the Wolverines were constantly behind the chains against the Hoosiers and it killed their offensive momentum.

I don’t care who your quarterback is, if you are averaging less than one yard per rushing attempt, it’s going to make his job tougher.

Obviously, the Wolverines were missing two starters on the offensive line and things were moved around, but all we heard throughout camp was how deep and talented this offensive line was.

Just like with some of the wide receivers, that appears to be hyperbole. If you can’t go in and establish the run against Indiana or even average one yard per attempt, you have some issues and that has got to get fixed right away.
