Michigan Football: Ranking 2020 opponents by difficulty

5. @ Indiana – November 7th

Michigan football has a 24 game winning streak against the Hoosiers that dates back to 1987. The Wolverines dominated Indiana last year when they were supposed to be back. So why then are they a tougher game than rival Michigan State?

There are a few reasons why. Michael Penix is back at quarterback and while Peyton Ramsey did a great job in relief Penix is much more explosive. Also, the Hoosiers did not have star wide receiver Whop Philyor when they played the Wolverines last year, and running back Stevie Scott got hurt after scoring two early touchdowns.

Put all of that together and the Hoosiers should be much improved on the offensive side of the ball. Their defense is still a huge question mark, but we have seen the Hoosiers be a thorn in the side of the Wolverines over the years. This is not a gimme game and if Michigan is caught looking ahead to Wisconsin they could get upset.
