Michigan will be 6-1 heading into Ohio State

I don’t expect this will be the year that Michigan football ends the losing steak against Ohio State. And as I’ve stated, I’m done making that pick. I simply won’t do it until the Wolverines win again.

That being said, there is a good chance Michigan heads into “The Game” with momentum once again in 2020. The Wolverines had won 10 in a row going into 2018 and last year, with an offensive turnaround, there was hope U-M could pull out a win.

While you can’t be confident in Michigan beating Ohio State, I’m confident the Wolverines will win more than five games. Penn State and Wisconsin are overrated and the first game at Minnesota is tough but winnable. Indiana is also a possible trap game.

At some point, the Wolverines will lose a game. I just don’t see them running the table the first seven weeks, although I do think they are the second-most talented team in the Big Ten.

Maybe they lose the opener or drop a game to Wisconsin or Penn State at an empty Big House, but as long as they win six of seven to start, they can win the Big Ten East the last week and that’s what will be on the line when the Wolverines head to Columbus in December.
