Dax Hill will be a first-rounder in 2022

If you are talking about guys with unique abilities on the Michigan defense, then you have to mention Daxton Hill, a 6-foot safety with 4.3 speed.

Hill worked his way into the lineup slowly for Michigan football last season. He played mostly at nickel corner before taking over as a starting safety late in the year. Still, he finished with 36 tackles, three tackles for loss, an interception, three pass breakups and two fumble recoveries.

The former five-star recruit still has plenty of developing to do before he goes in the first-round of the draft, but he has two years of eligibility before going at the earliest.

What will make him so appealing is the fact he can play multiple positions. Hill is very comfortable as a cover guy, which is valuable is in its own right as an NFL safety, but since he can play in the slot or even outside, his stock will be improved.

With his speed, size and playmaking ability, as well as the need for defensive backs like him, it won’t be surprising at all if Hill ends up as first-round pick.
