Michigan Football: 5 Wolverines with first-round NFL draft potential
The QB
The key word to remember about Joe Milton‘s inclusion on this list is potential. He has more of it than anyone on the Michigan offense.
Every Michigan football fan has heard of his arm strength and there is no denying it. But he has been maturing the past two seasons and if he’s given the chance, he could turn himself into a wanted commodity.
Besides, I’m not the first to suggest he could be a first-round pick. Adam Schefter said he could the No. 1 pick a couple of years back, so his potential is obvious. The key is actually getting a chance on the field and proving he can handle all that comes with being the starting quarterback.
Dylan McCaffrey is also very talented and he won’t be easy to beat out. Yet, you get the feeling that whenever Milton sees the field, his arm talent will shine and at least give him a chance to make in it in the NFL.
Besides, we have all seen how quickly quarterbacks can see their stock rise in the NFL draft and one magical season can do a lot in terms of moving up draft boards.
