Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from Maryland snoozer

Two Consecutive Weeks Without A Turnover
Gattis’ offense is certainly hitting its stride at the right time for the maize and blue. Shea Patterson wasn’t overly impressive, but did his job well enough without turning it over. The four main backs got involved, although Christian Turner had negative six yards on the ground. Almost everyone caught a pass as well, which speaks to the balancing act that Gattis called today.
Early in the season the football was like a greased pig that Michigan football simply couldn’t handle. It’s a sign of how hard they have worked since then to go two straight without putting the ball on the ground. Credit Patterson and his offensive teammates for righting this wrong with three tough opponents left who will obviously try to flip the script on the maize and blue.
Michigan will get to enjoy a well-earned bye week to keep this confidence growing. Practices should still remain fierce though with Michigan State on deck in two weeks. Getting complacent is the job to avoid moving on. The coaches and players are fully aware what lies in front of them after the bye week commences.
