Running At Will

Michigan football broke Notre Dame’s spirit by thrashing their defensive line all night. Hassan Haskins had a career night. Zach Charbonnet added two scores and Tru Wilson provided a spark when handed the opportunity near the end of the contest. All in all Michigan rushed for 303 yards which was the most the Irish have given up since 2016.

The offensive line bullied the Irish into submission. They kept Patterson clean and opened holes continuously for the backs to run through. Clark Lea’s defense had no answer to slow them down. Backup lineman Stephen Spanellis summed up the night with a pancake block that will be shown for ages from Michigan’s side. Clearly, Ed Warriner’s men had their best showing all season against a noteworthy opponent.

This outing can help catapult a group that was destined to be the strength of the offense coming into 2019. Remaining healthy down the stretch will also be ideal for Warriner’s guys to keep the entire offense humming.

Coming into the Notre Game showdown Michigan football had the toughest remaining schedule in America, which translates to all the offensive coaches working to keep this newly found success trending upward with November looming.
