The Offense Is A Disaster

Coming into 2019, the offensive line was primed to be one of the best in the country. Through three contests, they’ve been nothing but a massive letdown. Shea Patterson had to consistently use his legs to find places to pass through. It left Patterson in an uncomfortable position throughout the afternoon and got both signal-callers banged up as it went on.

Michigan football was outgained 361-61 in the running aspect, which is another telltale sign of how things went on Saturday. The only time when the Wolverines were able to move the football was when it went hurry up late in the game.

If Harbaugh and company want to keep their jobs for the foreseeable future, it would be truly ideal to run this offense from here on out. It’s seemingly the only way that they can steadily get their receivers involved.

Shea Patterson missed a wide-open Nico Collins on a play that probably would’ve been a score. His three shaky outings so far have to be questioned whether or not he can lead Michigan through the remainder of the term. However, if Dylan McCaffrey is out for an unspecified amount of time, then Michigan has no choice but to get the absolute best out of Patterson if that is even possible.
