Shea Patterson landed at number four mostly due to his potential for the 2019 season. With Josh Gattis leading this revitalized offense, the sky is the limit for Shea and company.

Patterson also made the list based on his overall stats in college, like Rudock, and his high school ranking. Coming out of IMG Academy in Florida, Shea was ranked as the No.1 Pro-style quarterback and the No. 1 football player from Florida. Overall, Shea was ranked as the No. 4 player in the country.

Patterson picked Ole Miss in 2016, even though he was a Wolverine fan growing up. The choice was forced mainly due to him not picking up a Michigan offer.

Nevertheless, he landed at UM and had a terrific introductory season, passing for 2,600 yards while adding 22 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.

Over his entire college football career, Shea has thrown for 5,739 yards with 49 TDs, against 19 INTs.

2019 might be the most complete team in a long time and all signs are pointing to an unbelievable season on offense. Pundits are picking this Wolverine squad to win the Big Ten and some are going as far as naming this group as a playoff team.

While we’re a ways off from the playoff selection, the potential for Patterson is off the charts. Should Shea perform up to the expectations, I might be rewriting this article at the end of the year with Patterson ranked at one or two.
