Will Morant stick to late commitment date?

Michigan football did really well recruiting the safety position in 2019, landing Daxton Hill, the top player at the position and in the 2020 class, the Wolverines are trying to do the same thing.

Jordan Morant is the top safety according to the 247 sports rankings and the New Jersey prospect is another recruit that is visiting Ann Arbor this weekend.

Like Henning, he spent last weekend in Happy Valley visiting Penn State and while Michigan still feels like the favorite, it’s not the sure thing it once seemed to be. UM still holds 67 percent on Morant’s crystal ball predictions, however, the fifth-best player in New Jersey and No. 160 overall has said he won’t be announcing until January 4 of next year.

That seems like a long time to wait and it will be interesting to see if Michigan or the staff at Penn State will push for Morant to make a decision sooner. The Wolverines seem interested in a number of other safety recruits, so if Morant doesn’t come, there are other options available.
