Michigan Basketball: NBA mock draft, Wolverines edition
Igans Brazdeikis
Should he stay or should he go? Huge life decisions for the 20-year-old Lithuanian Canadian.
Ignas is currently the only one who could return for the Wolverines and yet his NBA draft stock is off the charts.
NBAscoutinglive projects Ignas as a late first to early second rounder.
"Ignas Brazdeikis is a smart, skilled forward that can shoot and score the basketball. He may not possess elite physical tools, but his ability to make plays on offense could perhaps enable him to thrive as a role player in the NBA someday."
According to NBAdraftnet, Iggy will be taken as the 48th overall pick to the Los Angeles Clippers.
The site Tankathon predicts Iggy going eight picks earlier to the Sacramento Kings.
Unfortunately, a lot of mock drafts do not include players who are uncertain about their NBA future, although Iggy will likely be heading to greener pastures and the people at NBAdraft.net believes he will produce in the pros.
"The Lithuanian born-Canadian raised athlete has offensive skills that could land him a spot on an NBA roster for multiple years … Landing on a roster that plays small lineups should benefit him, especially on the defensive end where coaches will have an easier time finding him the right matchup… He will have to expand his game offensively in order to become a quality scorer in the league, but at only 20 years old he’ll have time."
