Livers will finally get his day

One of the key guys next season for Michigan basketball is going to be Isaiah Livers, who started as a freshman but came off the bench a year ago.

Livers was a highly efficient player last season, earning an efficiency rating over 18.4. He is already one of the best two-way players on the roster and whether he starts at the three or four, his production will need to increase.

After shooting 36 percent from 3-point range as a freshman, he was the Wolverines top perimeter shooter percentage wise last year and connected on 42.6 percent of his attempts. That number may dip a little with a greater volume of attempts. He connected on 1.5 3-point field goals and averaged 7.9 points per game.

In 2019-20 however, if the Wolverines are going to contend with Michigan State for the Big Ten title, he needs to up his average a few more points in the 10-12 range, which he is more than capable of doing. His ceiling is even higher than that and it wouldn’t be all that shocking if he led the team in scoring next season.
