Lucas Andrighetto

Lucas Andrighetto is a sophomore from Mountain View, California who came to Michigan football in 2018 and has yet to see the field.

Even though we haven’t seen him on Saturday’s, his off the field contributions were so impactful that he was named Defensive Scout Team Player of the Week for his role in preparing the offense for Northwestern.

Since the switch to running back, Lucas has gained the attention of the head coach.

"“Another really good move. He moved from safety to running (back). Remember Tru Wilson was a safety when he first started and then became a running back. In my opinion, Andrighetto is better than Tru Wilson when he first moved over from safety to running back, but Andrighetto has got speed, got savvy in there. He is really seeing the holes and for someone who has only been playing running back for four practices here with us, now he played running back in high school, but yeah, Lucas Andrighetto is emerged as someone who’s going to be a really good player.”"

The injuries to Christian Turner, Zach Charbonnet, and just about everyone else at the position should give Lucas the opportunity to shine and potentially earn some playing time.
