Starting guards

Jordan Poole (12.8 PPG, 3.0 RPG, 2.2 APG): B

Poole had a solid season as a sophomore. He certainly wasn’t as bad as some are trying to make him out to be. Yet, it did seem like he was poised to have a bigger scoring increase than he did. His numbers also fell across the board with increased volume. He started slowly and ended slowly but if he can play all season as he did when he scored 20 points or more three times in seven games, he could be the scoring guard the Wolverines need next season.

Zavier Simpson (8.8 PPG, 6.6 APG, 5.0 RPG): B+

Simpson had a really good season and it was hard dropping his grade below an A, yet he had some tough moments. Cassius Winston got the better of him three times this season and when it came down to it, Simpson couldn’t check him when it was needed. Zavier also struggled in the tournament with four turnovers in the first and second round before the disaster against Texas Tech. His defense is great and so is his hook shot, but his jump shot simply has to improve.
