Zach Charbonnet will have a chance to start

Zach Charbonnet is a big-time get for Michigan football and many believe he could be the best running back brought into the fold by Harbaugh. He’s a four-star back from California but just missed out on being a five-star.

He is the No. 46 player in the 2019 recruiting class overall and also the fourth-best running back. At 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, he looks like a guy that has the ability to contribute right away and with the loss of Chris Evans, he might just need to.

Evans, who is no longer part of the Michigan football team because of grades, may have opened the door for Charbonnet to start next season. Obviously, Christian Turner and Tru Wilson will have a say and who knows, maybe Evans will be back then.

But regardless of who else is in the backfield, Charbonnet is a dynamic runner and there is a good chance he will play a major role next season — Evans or not.
