Michigan Football: 5 predictions for the Wolverines against Indiana
Higdon gets over 100 in his final game at Big House
Karan Higdon has had a spectacular senior season for Michigan football and last week, he became the first Wolverines back since 2011 to reach 1,000 yards. Incredibly, he’s only the second Michigan running back since Mike Hart to rush for 1,000 yards in a season.
Even though he got to 1,000 last week, Higdon can’t be happy that Rutgers held him to 43 yards rushing on 15 attempts. It was his lowest outing of the season and only the second time in nine games he was held under 100 yards. The Wolverines run game as a whole struggled and without a 61-yard touchdown run by Chris Evans, the average per attempt would have been less than four.
Indiana also ranks 11th in rushing yards allowed in the Big Ten, so it’s a perfect matchup. Higdon will be playing in his final home game as a Wolverine and you can expect him to go out in style.
Jim Harbaugh and the coaches will feed him the ball and not only will he get 100 yards, but it wouldn’t shock me if he got close to 200. Just depends how early he gets pulled from the game.
