Patterson proves his big-game prowess again

Michigan football did a lot of impressive things on Saturday against Penn State, but something that stood out once again was the performance of Patterson.

In the last three games, he has not only been clutch, but he has also been mistake free. Last night against Penn State was another example, as he completed 11-of-17 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 11 times for 42 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up some key first downs with his legs.

Over the last three games, Patterson’s numbers aren’t eye-popping. However, he does have four touchdown passes, two touchdown runs and zero interceptions. He also helped the Wolverines convert 8-of-14 third downs.

With the defense playing as well as it is right now, Patterson doesn’t have to do much. Basically, he needs to hand the ball to Karan Higdon and make plays in the red zone and on third down, but so far, he is doing exactly what is needed and it really has been impressive to watch.
