Michigan Football: 5 Wolverines who have stepped up this season
Higdon has taken his game to another level
Don’t get me wrong, Karan Higdon was solid for Michigan football last season. To be honest, he was the Wolverines best offensive player, however, that doesn’t mean he hasn’t taken a huge step forward in 2018. He has and NFL teams are on notice.
Through seven games, Higdon is averaging 118 yards per game and has rushed for 100 yards or more in six of seven games, including six in a row. He did run for 994 yards and 11 touchdowns last season, yet the difference this year is that he is getting it done in big games.
Last season, he was shut down by both Michigan State and Wisconsin in two games the Wolverines lost. This year it has been a different story. Against the Badgers, he ran 19 times for 105 yards and a touchdown. The next week, at Michigan State, he carried it 33 times for 144 yards against the best-run defense statistically in the FBS.
In my opinion, Higdon is still the Wolverines best offensive player and with each 100-yard game, he proves it over and over again.
