Michigan Football: 5 players who need to step up against Wisconsin
Higdon needs a 100-yard day
Like Patterson. Karan Higdon has been on a tear in recent weeks and outside of the game he missed due to injury, he has four-straight 100-yard games. Last Saturday against Maryland, he ran for 104 yards on 25 carries, reaching the century mark for the ninth time in his Michigan career.
Well, it just so happens, that when Higdon runs for 100 yards or more, the Wolverines win. They are 9-0 when he does and if he can achieve that mark versus the Badgers, it would be a very good omen.
Last year, when the two teams met in Madison, Higdon wasn’t 100 percent and he ran just seven times for 20 yards. The entire offense was stagnant and Michigan struggled to get anything going.
This season, Higdon has taken his game to another level. He is averaging 116 yards per game, second behind Taylor in the Big Ten and 5.8 yards per rush attempt. He also has multiple runs of 40 yards or more, as well as a 67-yard touchdown. He’s having a breakout season and this game could really cement that.
