Michigan Football: 5 predictions for the Wolverines 2018 season
Season depends on what happens vs Michigan State and Ohio State
In order for this Michigan football season to be a success, I have a few things on my checklist. One of them is getting double-digit wins. 10-3 is a reasonable mark for this team and with this being Harbaugh’s most talented team, anything short of that feels like a disappointment.
The other big thing on the checklist is getting a win over Michigan State or Ohio State. With both games being on the road, winning both is asking a lot, especially because the Buckeyes are pretty loaded.
During the regular season, I think Michigan will lose to Wisconsin and unfortunately, I think they will lose to Ohio State. It will be a battle but Michigan will fall short in Columbus. However, I do see UM beating Notre Dame, Penn State, Northwestern and most importantly, Michigan State.
That makes for a 10-2 regular season and even though a loss to Ohio State will prohibit a trip to the Big Ten title game, by season’s end, UM will be viewed as one of the nations best teams and get back to a New Year’s Six bowl game.
