Michigan Football: 5 predictions for the Wolverines 2018 season
Shea Patterson is even better than we thought
I certainly could be alone in this thinking but as much hype as Shea Patterson is getting, I still think he finds a way to exceed expectations. He has all the talent in the world and he has some playmaking ability that previous Michigan quarterbacks simply haven’t had.
Harbaugh needed to fix the quarterback position and for one year at least, he will with Patterson. The interception rate at Ole Miss was a little too high but he produced touchdowns, 23 scoring passes in 10 starts.
With the talent surrounding him at Michigan, as well as the coaching from Harbaugh, Patterson should shine, so much so that he will be in New York when they are handing out the Heisman Trophy.
I am not saying he’s going to win it. I don’t think he will. I also don’t think he leads Michigan to the Big Ten championship. But the Wolverines play in enough big games, he will stand out. UM won’t win every big game this fall, yet with Patterson, they will win at least some and in the process, he will become a household name in college football.
