Shea Patterson getting eligible for 2018 would be a perfect present

Of course the story of Shea Patterson has been a headline surrounding Michigan football since the season ended. After his recruitment and commitment, the next questions is, will he be able to play in 2018?

There has been a lot of confusion on the topic. Ole Miss did lift transfer restrictions and the NCAA is allowing seniors to transfer without having to sit a year due to the Rebels being on probation.

Unfortunately, Patterson has two years of eligibility left, so that rule does not apply. But, it does give him ammunition going forward for his NCAA appeal.

Since the Rebels tried to hide the severity of the sanctions they knew were coming from the NCAA, Patterson and his teammates believe they will be granted a special waiver to play right away.

When it comes to the NCAA, you never know what to expect, but if Santa had the power to sway the decision in favor of Michigan, it’d be a wonderful Christmas.
