Michigan Basketball: Predicting the Wolverines 2017-18 Starting Lineup
Projected starter: Moe Wagner
Even though predicting Alstork’s transfer to Michigan, my boldest prediction by far is that Wagner will be back with the Maize and Blue next season.
When I read Wagner’s statement, and as I explained the day after, I thought there was a much better chance he would return. I still feel that way.
Wagner even went on Robinson’s podcast and said he was looking forward to getting more games against good competition at the combine. He also talked about how he wanted to finish college.
I think when it’s all said and done, Wagner will be projected as a low first-round pick. And if that’s the case, he should come back and ultimately, I think he will.
If not, Michigan is probably looking at either Teske or Davis starting next season. Both are 3-star recruits. Teske was the 17th center in 2016, Davis was the 23rd according to 247 sports.

Both may pan out at Michigan, but neither can come close to replicating what Wagner can do. He is the key to it all and if he doesn’t come back, the 2017-18 season might be mired in mediocrity.
