I didn’t put a position next to Jabrill Peppers’ name because I don’t think we can place him in such a defined box anymore.
On first down he could be at safety, then at corner on second down, then at nickel on third down. And then of fourth down he’s back to field the punt.

Peppers has provided an extra spark on defense and special teams, and we saw against Michigan State that he’s a threat on offense.
Peppers’ pass coverage is so-so for the most part, but he’s made a few nice plays this season. He’s a big player in the box for Michigan with 4.5 tackles for loss and also has five pass breakups. He nearly recorded his first career interception against Northwestern but had the ball skip off his fingertips.
There’s no need really to elaborate on what he’s able to do as a return specialist, but suffice it to say he truly is a big play waiting to happen.
Peppers is pretty much doing everything we thought he should be able to do last season before he got hurt.
I think it’s been worth the wait.
