4. James Franklin–
Franklin has only been at Penn State for one season, but before that he was the head coach at Vanderbilt for three seasons. In his four years as a head coach Franklin has won at least six games every season. Before he became the head coach for the Commodores, the team had never won more than eight games in a single season in their history. Franklin led them to back-to-back nine win seasons in 2012 and 2013. In his first year at Penn State the Nittany Lions went 7-6, and are definitely on an upward trend.
