Juwan Howard is extremely busy putting Michigan basketball directly of sights of the top high school hoops stars, and his hard work could pay off big time.

We are one day closer to potentially one of the greatest days for the future of Michigan basketball. A day filled with so much potential that it could the direction of Wolverine hoops forever.

That day is Isaiah Todd‘s birthday. The day he decides between Kansas and Michigan, his final two schools. That day is October 17th.

Todd is a defensive monster and a scorer at all levels. He’s the No. 2 power forward for the 2020 class and ranked 12th in the entire class. And he would be the highest-rated prospect to ever commit to Michigan since the ranking system began.

The problem? Juwan Howard hasn’t landed a single recruit that he targeted. Juwan snagged the pledge from the brother of Moe, but the Wagner siblings are Beilein’s men. That’s not to say Howard won’t utilize Franz Wagner, the German sensation everyone is talking about, it’s to say that Howard has a certain type of player he wants.

So far, no of Juwan’s targets are biting; although, that could soon change.

247 sports is known for what they call ‘Crystal Ball Predictions’. Essentially, they have college basketball experts from around the U.S. predict where a certain high school basketball player will continue their career. Recently, all of the predictions have swung in UM’s favor for Todd.

Judging by what Todd had to say about the Wolverines, the ‘experts’ might be right.

“I love Coach Juwan Howard. He played my position in the League, he also coached in the League, I love the coaching staff and I feel like that school would be awesome too. I will be his first recruiting class so I still got to see how they play this season.”

This may be a stretch, but when you read one of the sentences from his statement, it sounds like he’s already decided.

"I will be his first recruiting class"

If this is true, here’s a look at what the rest of the team of the future could look like.
