Michigan Basketball: NBA Weekend Roundup of Former Wolverines
By Adam Renuart
The Michigan basketball team has seen a return to prominence under the guidance of 10th year coach John Beilein.
The Wolverines are 104-60 since the former West Virginia coach took over for Tommy Amaker. Part of Beilein’s success has been his ability overlooked talent into NBA level talent, turning three-star recruits into professionals.
Michigan basketball currently has six Wolverines in the NBA, with five of them from 2013’s Final Four team.
Nik Stauskas, Trey Burke, Glenn Robinson III, and Tim Hardaway Jr. all reside the in Eastern Conference. Caris LeVert has not yet played for the Brooklyn Nets while rehabbing the foot that bothered him at Michigan. The lone Brian Ellerbe recruit is the ageless Jamal Crawford, the only Wolverine in the Western Conference.
Mitch McGary recently played for the Thunder and their D-League affiliate, but was waived after a drug suspension. Here is a look at the former Wolverines in the NBA.
