What Ty Haywood decommitting from Alabama means for Michigan football

In an expected turn of events, five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood has decommitted from Alabama. The Wolverines will look to continue to make strides in his recruitment as they are seen as the frontrunner with previous predictions.

What's next?

Haywood's upcoming visit to Ann Arbor this weekend will be pivotal. The Wolverines will look to showcase their program, culture, and development pipeline to sway him.

If Michigan football can lock up Haywood's recruitment right then and there, not only would it continue to bolster the 2025 recruiting class, but it would mark a change of the Tide, literally. Michigan is the new leader in College Football, not Alabama. With 12 National championships and a number that looks to grow this decade, Michigan would be the perennial program across the nation.
