Truth: The Wolverines are still fighting

It sounds like a moral victory or something but I just want to give credit to the players. There wasn't much at stake in this game for Michigan football outside of a winning season and a bowl game.

It wasn't like a win against Indiana would catapult this team back into the playoff race. But Michigan football played like it had a lot on the line, at least the defense did.

The offense is another story. I don't think effort is the issue either. It felt like Wink Martindale settled in during the second half and committed to playing it safe and allowing the defensive line to dominate.

That's what I've been asking for all season. Michigan's front four is as good as any in college football. That is still true. Cameron Brandt, Rayshaun Benny, and TJ Guy all played damn good too.

Zeke Berry and Jyaire Hill made some plays. Tyler Morris had a nice game. Mullings bulldozed his way into the end zone on fourth down. The coaching staff let them down, but they haven't given up on this season yet and that was something to be proud of, even in defeat.
