Two key Michigan football players confirm they'll be back for 2026

Michigan football has suffered some attrition on the offensive line, but the Wolverines got positive news on Monday.

Michigan football fans are still waiting on the decision of starting quarterback Bryce Underwood, but two key pieces on the offensive line have announced they are coming back.

Blake Frazier, who took over as the starting left tackle after the fourth game of the season, in which Evan Link went down with an injury, never looked back and played well down the stretch, laying claim to the job for the future.

That future got brighter for Michigan football on Monday after Frazier posted on X that he was staying with the Wolverines, writing simply, "Those who stay."

That refers to the Bo Schembechler saying, "Those who stay will become champions."

Securing Frazier for next season stops the bleeding along the offensive line. Andrew Sprague and Jake Guarnera have each entered the portal, although it appears the door could be open for a return. Neither player has committed to another school at this time.

Another major move for Michigan football O-line

Yet another announcement, one by former five-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola that he's coming back, was also made public on Monday, soon after Frazier.

Babalola missed his freshman season due to injury. He'll be a redshirt freshman this season, and as long as he's healthy by the start of 2026, there's a strong chance Babalola will be one of Michigan's starting tackles.

As far as Underwood, it will be easier to entice him to return with a talented offensive line in place. Babalola and Frazier each have tons of potential, and under new offensive line coach Jim Harding, that potential will be realized.

So their returns are really good news, with seemingly more to follow.
