Michigan football will host Wisconsin this week in an important Big Ten game, but outside of the game itself, there are some important recruits who will be on campus to visit the Wolverines.
One of those is a 2027 recruit and Michigan football legacy, Charles Woodson Jr. The four-star safety in the 2027 class out of Orlando, Florida, has seven offers total. One of them came from Michigan, a few months back, and now the Wolverines look like they could be closing.
4 ⭐️ S Charles Woodson Jr. is making a name for himself, and he will visit Michigan this weekend. 👀

Michigan football projected to land commitment of Charles Woodson Jr.
That's at least according to Rivals national recruiting reporter Steve Wiltfong, who logged an expert prediction for the Rivals prediction machine for Woodson to end up as a Wolverine, just like his dad.
At 5-foot-11, 165 pounds, Woodson is a four-star according to the Rivals Industry Rankings, which have him ranked No. 343 overall in the 2027 class. Rivals has him ranked as a three-star recruit in its own rankings, but 247 Sports has Woodson rated No. 244 overall. ESPN doesn't have him ranked.
Ole Miss, Florida State, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Baylor, Iowa State, and some other programs have offered Woodson Jr. Yet, it's becoming clear that the Wolverines are the team to beat. Michigan football wasn't the first program to offer. However, it is making Woodson a clear priority, and has a 99 percent chance of landing him via the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine.
The blue-chip safety will be among the visitors on campus for the Wisconsin game. His father, Charles Woodson, will also be there as part of Big Noon Kickoff.
Wiltfong didn't indicate when a commitment might come. Maybe it will be as soon as this weekend. You just never know in recruiting.
Either way, it's hard to see anyone beating out Michigan football for Woodson.
