Lie: Sherrone Moore is on the hot heat

There isn't much hope of making the College Football Playoff but there is a lot to play for down the stretch. Get to a bowl game and beat Michigan State are two realistic objectives.

That's the bare minimum for this team. If it fails to do that, then this season will be a complete and total failure. Yet, even if that happens, it won't be time to fire Sherrone Moore.

Some have actually suggested that. You have to give him the chance to fix things. Regardless of what people want to say, there wasn't some great quarterback out there by the time Jim Harbaugh and J.J. McCarthy announced their intentions.

There was a cost that came with winning the national title and a lot of it had to do with Jim Harbabugh. Some Michigan football fans will blame him. But at the same time, the Wolverines never sniff a national title, let alone win one, without Jim Harbaugh.

I'm not sure what the future holds for Michigan. I hope Sherrone Moore isn't another Brady Hoke, but six games or one season is too early to make that call one way or another.
